Kiss the Edge is a free one-tap drift game you play right in your browser, on your phone or your computer. Your neon car slides through an endless road of hairpin corners and you steer with one finger: hold to drift right, let go to drift left.
The twist is the soundtrack. Every corner you take close to the edge adds a new layer to the synthwave music, so a great run literally sounds better and better until you hit OVERDRIVE. Cut it a little too close, though, and you're off the road.
How to play Kiss the Edge
- Tap to start. The car is always moving, so you only choose which way it drifts.
- Hold anywhere on the screen to drift right. Let go to drift left. On a computer, hold Space, the right arrow or Enter.
- Take every corner as tight as you dare. Passing close to the edge scores GREAT (+2), PERFECT (+3) or INSANE! (+5). A wide, safe corner only scores +1 and resets your streak.
- Chain close corners into a streak. At streaks of 2, 4, 7, 11 and 16 the music adds hi-hats, bass, chords, a melody and finally OVERDRIVE, where every corner is worth double.
- Leave the road and the run is over. Tap anywhere to retry instantly.

Tips for a higher score
- Your first runs tell you exactly when to HOLD and when to LET GO. Use them to feel the rhythm of the turns.
- Turn in late. The closer your drift line passes the edge, the higher the grade.
- A safe corner costs you your streak, but a crash costs you the whole run. When the music is at full OVERDRIVE, a GREAT is plenty.
- Grab the gold coins on the road. Every run also pays one coin per 10 points.
- Spend coins in the GARAGE on 8 cars, from ROOKIE to the rainbow PRISM.
- Keep going to see new zones: SUNSET BLVD, MIDNIGHT, AURORA, VAPORWAVE, INFERNO and THE VOID.
